Shake Shack- NYC

Pinch yourself...no you're not dreaming

If you've got one stop to make in New York, make it this. This brilliant gem of a modern-day burger stand in Madison Square Park creates THE BEST milkshakes and burgers known to man, no joke...


This is not an exagguration- I'm talking about unadulterated pleasure from the first bite- the ShackBurger's secret sauce is nestled inside the juicy burger steak itself, waiting to ooze out deliciously once you take a bite out of the meat.

 Burger and fries are a happy married couple- make sure you sample their Yukon potato fries- crinkled, salty, crispy, crunchy...with an option of cheese drizzled on top. 

Of course, you would be a fool not to sample their milkshakes as well- they are otherworldly to a Briton who can only indulge in a proper American milkshake once in a while. Their Frozen Custard Shakes are spun fresh at the Shack daily, and the Concrete Jungle is definitely the way to go- vanilla custard, fudge sauce, bananas and peanut butter sauce. Need I say more?


If you visit NYC in summer, go to the Madison Square one- its beautiful in sunny weather and you can lounge around sipping ice cold frozen custard milkshakes. DON'T do what we did, which was go to this branch whilst it was -10C, unbeknownst to the existence of indoor branches. It was still worth it though.

Shake Shack has various branches across the city, as well as in Connecticut, Florida, DC and Pennsylvania to name but a few. more info here www.shakeshack.com Menus vary across branches though.

EDIT: Shake Shack is opening a branch in London's Covent Garden on the 5th July!! So excited to go try it out, anyone who lives in London should meet me there! :D
